Justin G. Williams
has been named a Member in the law firm of
Tanner & Guin. Mr. Williams works with
municipalities in West Alabama in the area of
local government law and assists businesses with
general business and commercial issues, real
property issues, strategies to avoid litigation
and defending them when disputes arise. He is in
charge of the Firm’s Environmental Roundtable
series and represents clients with the
environmental issues they face. He received his
J.D., cum laude, in 2001 from The University of
Alabama School of Law, and his B.S., magna cum
laude, in 1997 from The University of Alabama.
He has authored many articles on legal issues
businesses face, is active in the West Alabama
Chamber of Commerce, is past-president of the
Tip Off Club, serves on the Board of Directors
of Theatre Tuscaloosa, and currently serves as
Secretary/Treasurer of the Tuscaloosa Sports

Tanner & Guin is pleased to announce that
William B. McGuire, Jr. and
Kelly S. McCaleb
have joined the firm, bringing with them over 24
years of Family Law experience.
 Bill
McGuire joins the
firm as a Member. Over the last 24 years, he has
built a leading regional practice in Family Law,
focusing on Family Law issues, Adoption,
Divorce, Child Support and Custody issues,
Domestic Violence issues, Premarital Agreements
and Mediation. He received his J.D. from the
University of Alabama School of Law in 1982 and
his B.S. from the University of Alabama in 1980.
He is a charter member of the Family Law
Association of Alabama, a frequent lecturer on
Family Law topics and serves as an adjunct
faculty member with the University of Alabama
School of Law.
Kelly McCaleb has joined
the firm as an associate, practicing in the
areas of Family Law, Marital Agreements, Divorce
Mediation and Domestic Relations. She
received her J.D. from the University of Alabama
School of Law in 1996 and her B.A. from the
University of Alabama in 1992.

Congratulations to
Steven Wyatt who has
become the newest partner of Tanner & Guin.
Mr. Wyatt has experience in the areas of wealth
and asset protection/planning, business
planning, business succession planning, and the
use of partnership and LLCs. He has additional
experience in the areas of charitable giving and
tax exempt organizations. He regularly advises
privately held businesses regarding business
issues and their various tax implications and
benefits. He has unique experience in the area
of succession planning in assisting companies in
protecting the future of their businesses and
their business legacy. In the area of family
businesses, he works with clients on
transferring ownership of family owned companies
to succeeding generations. |

Carol Armstrong
was recently honored by the West Alabama Chamber
of Commerce as the recipient of a Distinguished
Service award for her work with the Women in
Business Council. Ms. Armstrong currently
serves as the chairperson for the Women in
Business Council.
